My Journey to Latarambeshwor Mahadev

I took a bus to reach the starting point. Here’s how I got there:

  1. Reach Lagankhel and find a ticket counter for Hetauda.

  2. Ask for Latarambeshwor Mahadev—the bus fare is around Rs. 220 (as of 2025) from Kathmandu to Baguwa.

  3. Bus Timings: The first bus leaves at 7 AM, with subsequent buses at 7:30 AM, 8 AM, and 8:30 AM.

The Ultimate Latarambeshwor Mahadev Hike

Once you arrive in Baguwa, the hike to the top is around 10 km. Initially, you follow a newly constructed road before entering the forest trails. Be prepared! The trail is challenging, so carry:

  • At least 2 bottles of water per person to stay hydrated.

  • Fruits or snacks to maintain energy

The hike is demanding, and hunger might slow you down, but the reward at the top is worth it. Once you reach the summit, all your exhaustion fades away as you take in the breathtaking views.

Facilities at the Top of Latarambeshowr Peak

  • There are 2 to 3 small shops for essential supplies, though prices are twice the usual rate.

  • After a 15-minute walk from the summit, you’ll arrive at the Latarambeshwor Mahadev Temple.
